Common questions

What can I do for free?

Editing and previews are free, and each device gets 3 free saves or shares. Sharing a result you already saved doesn’t count again, and cancelled shares don’t count. For unlimited saves, get Framli Pro. The size limits are the same with or without Pro.

Which formats does Framli support?

Framli opens and saves JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. PDF tools take PDFs and can save PDFs. Some tools also save ZIP or text files. Every export is re-encoded as an SDR sRGB image with the camera, date and location metadata removed; there’s no option to keep it. Framli doesn’t edit RAW, HDR or animated images, or video.

How large can images be?

You can import images up to 100 MB and 80 megapixels. Exports can be up to 8,192 pixels on a side and 32 megapixels in total. Batch handles up to 50 images, Images to PDF takes up to 50 images, and a PDF can have up to 500 pages and 250 MB.

Where are my edited images saved?

Tap Save/share (on some screens, Save or share) on the result screen. The iOS share sheet opens: choose Save Image to add it to Photos, or save it to Files or send it to another app. Your saved results also appear under Recent on Home.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Framli processes images and PDFs on your iPhone, and there’s no account. The app uses the network for purchases and, unless you turn it off, usage and error reports (Settings > Privacy > Share usage and error reports). Images, names and the text you enter aren’t included in those reports.

How do I restore Framli Pro?

In Framli, open Settings, go to the Framli Pro section and tap Restore purchases. Manage purchases is in the same place.

What do I need to run Framli?

An iPhone with iOS 15 or later. The Subject cutout mode in Remove Background needs iOS 17. Framli is an iPhone app; there’s no iPad version.
